Alyssa Marquez is a visual mixed media artist with a background in wildlife management and conservation. She lives and works in the rural high desert of California’s Eastern Sierra.

Alyssa sees humans as part of the natural environment, not as disjunct spectators. Humanity’s responsibility to be curious, learn from and appreciate the natural world is imbued in Alyssa’s art.

Alyssa has shown her art locally at the Mountain Rambler Brewery, Mono Sierra Lodge and Mono Arts Council. Alyssa was a selected artist for the 2023 Bureau of Land Management’s Artist in Residence program in the Alabama Hills National Scenic Area. Alyssa is also a member of the C5 Community Art Center’s Technical Advisory Committee.
